UK Stitch 'n Bitch Day 2007

Timetable Market Entertainment Workshops Take Part

This event finished on 10th November 2007

The I Knit Lounge area is where you can grab a spot on the comfy sofas, relax, have a drink from the bar and enjoy some entertainment. We have a line-up of music and comedy, plus relaxed workshops and massage...

Amy Lamé

Amy Lamé's Pom-Pom International - non-political, genderless and with no other purpose but just being pom-poms! Amy's cheering up the universe with her pom-poms. Make your own in the lounge all day and let's make the biggest stash of pom-poms ever seen!

Time: all day

The Shellac Sisters

The soundtrack to Stitch 'n Bitch Day will be provided by the glorious Shellac Sisters - with their wind-up gramophones. Their DJ sets run from classic 30s flapper tunes to 50s rock 'n roll - but no CDs here!

Time: 12.00 to 4.30

Peter Wyton

Performance poet Peter Wyton will kick off the entertainment with his brilliant rendition of a poem written about his daughter's experience of knitting at a Brighton boozer...

Time: 12.00

Debbie Stoller will introduce a short fashion parade featuring some of the designs from the new SnB book - all for men!

Time: 1.00 to 1.30

Girl and Dean

Comedy duo Girl & Dean, fresh from the Edinburgh Festival and the Knitting and Stitching Show bring their handicraft-humour to UK SnB Day. Three short performances throughout the afternoon - don't miss them!

Time: 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30

Dutch knitting café! Yes, tulips, Delft tiles, waffles and genuine Dutch knitters from the Netherlands! Debbie's roots are in Holland and last year we visited the Dutch SnB Day - which is where this all started...so the day wouldn't be complete without them.
